Group outing at Catalina Island
Not only research, but also relaxation is part of the life at WiDeS.The whole group took a ferry to the popular vacation spot of Catalina Island, where the day was passed with hiking, sightseeing, food and drink (calm seas on the way back were an added bonus!). Photos will be posted here soon.

Keynote at CMC 2010
Prof. Molisch delivered a keynote at the 2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing. The event, which drew many Chinese as well as international participants, took place in Shenzhen, China, a major center for telecommunications research.

Molisch gives keynote at University of Twente
The University of Twente inaugurated its Short-Range Wireless Communications Center, and appointed Prof. William Scanlon to lead it. To celebrate the occasion, the university held a day of lectures; Prof. Molisch gave a keynote on “Ultrawideband radio for short-range communications and localization”

Molisch gives lectures series at Beihang University

Andy Molisch gave a series of lectures on “Spatial channels and MIMO systems” at Beihang University, (formerly known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, BUAA) in Beijing, China. The 3-day lecture series (January 4-6) drew considerable attendance, despite record cold and snow in Beijing

Molisch receives Okawa grant
Oct. 2010
Andy Molisch has received a 2010 Research Grant Award from the Okawa Foundation to support his research on "Wireless Systems for Healthcare. The award will be formally presented at a ceremony in San Francisco in October 2010.
