Dr. S. Niranjayan




 

Biography:

Dr. S. Niranjayan is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Wireless Communication Devices and Systems (WiDeS) group and a NSERC  postdoctoral fellow. His major research focus at WiDeS is on network synchronization. Niranjayan received his Ph.D. from University of Alberta, Canada, in 2010. Received his Masters degree in electrical and computer engineering from National University of Singapore and  a BSc Degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa Srilanka with first class honors.

Niranjayan is currently a recipient of the NSERC postdoctoral fellowship award.

He was a recipient of the competitive Alberta ingenuity studentship and iCORE graduate studentship throughout his Ph.D. program. He received the NUS graduate scholarship during his master's program.

 

Research Interest:

His current areas of  interest are, network timing, ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) systems, body area networks, UWB system and experiment design,  non-linear signal processing. In his Ph.D. work he contributed designs of nonlinear receivers for multiple access UWB systems.
