Vinod Kristem received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal in 2007. He received his Master of Engineering degree in Telecommunications from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2009. He then joined Broadcom Corporation, Bangalore, India where he worked on channel estimation and physical layer measurements for WiMAX and LTE. Since Aug. 2011, he worked toward the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical and Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His research interests include the design and analysis of receiver algorithms for wireless communication networks, Antenna selection in MIMO systems, and cooperative localization in wireless networks.
